Which mostly means Christmas and New Years. Yup. I’m still there. But, its okay, this will be the last one, cross my heart … and all that. Please forgive me, my four children (two kids, two dogs!) keep me busy and lately, living life and being in the moments have been the more important things in my life, blog on the back burner for a bit. Though, lately, its been on my mind, our family back east might want some eye candy, visual stimulation, pictures to go with those amazing stories we love to tell!
So the last of all that red and green holiday stuff… and… go.
Christmas was great, we celebrated with Nana and Grampy over the web cam on Christmas eve. It was so nice and easy, no stress of having to figure out how much time we need before we had to move on to a different “phase”. We all got to enjoy EVERY minute. On Christmas day, we did our Christmas, Christmas and the Great Grandparents house, and then our traditional MEXICAN Christmas at Nina’s house! Two days of amazing awesomeness! To say the least. To top it off, happy kids all around. Pure joy.

Now on to the last and final leg of the year, NEW YEARS! This has to be one of our most FAVORITE holidays ever. Too much, too many laughs and tons of amazing family. Seriously, amazing. This year, we made hourly goodie bags for all the kids, it worked out pretty well, kept them busy-ish and a little bit of focus in between quick bites of food and potty trips. In the end, everyone was exhausted and all the kids made it to midnight and beyond! We also swap our Secret Santa gifts on New Years. Its always great fun to try and guess who your Secret Santa was, even the kids get to draw Secret Santa names and buy for each other. It keeps down the over abundance of things and keeps it person and fun!

She started to crash shortly after this, drifting in and out of sleep for a while and getting her second burst of energy right before Midnight! This girl was a trooper that night!

Well, that’s it, I’m finally on to 2012, past Christmas and New Years and all that December had to offer. It was a great holiday season but I’m glad we are past it for the next nine months or so (it takes about that long to really recover!) So, I hope everyone is having a great 2012 so far. I hope its all you were looking forward to and more, and any challenges you may face are a piece of cake!
Well, I’ve been awake waaay too many hours and I need some sleep!
