The orchard trees have finally sprung their gorgeous pink and white and lavender flowers.
Also out are the buzzing bee boxes. Sadly most of them meet their doom on my windshield.
the lovely walnut orchards of the valley, they number in the thousands and smell so sweet.
We love spring. Its perfect weather for the outdoor kind of things: Bubbles, BBQ’s, Baseball.
But, we also know that when Spring arrives, Summer is not too far behind. Out here in the Central Valley of California, Spring does not last very long. Its short and sweet and mostly leaves you suffering from terrible allergies, but EVERY moment is worth it. Usually, by the end of April, and sometimes even by Easter, the temps already near the high 80’s. Beautiful.
No, not snow, just pretty while flowers waiting for a buzzy bee.
Then one day you wake up and the weather man is talking about 90 degree temps coming up. It hits you like a ton of bricks and out of the blue, it’s Summer out. But, until then, we will enjoy the loveliness of Spring and all its colors and excitement.
Winter has been here far too long and I miss things…

tank tops and capris and most of all flip flops
finally the incredible need to bundle up disappears (not that we didn’t love to cozy up and watch cartoons!)
I think Spring puts people in a better, happier mood… or at least it does it for me!
and who doesn’t love SUNSHINE! I know it makes the little ones sleep so much better!
Well, we can’t wait for the final Spring Take Over, any day now we hope. It’s still a bit chilly in the morn but down right AMAZING in the afternoon. We just need the night to stop dipping into the lower numbers at night. Then I’ll be happy!
