This year was a great year for our Thanksgiving celebrations. We had three Thanksgivings, not including the one in Xander’s kindergarten class.
All the kids dressed up like Indians with paper bag vests and feather headbands. It was just the cutest thing I had ever seen! Thankfully, with lots of help from my grandma, I was able to volunteer that day in the class. We helped them get their costumes on and setup all the tables and dish out the food. It was really great to finally be able to get involved a bit with Xander and school. Of course, it also gave my grandma some time with our other little one, who still suffers a bit of separation anxiety. It was a really great day for everyone.

Later that week was the real Thanksgiving day and hopefully would be the last day of the chaos. We had somewhere around twenty people that day. It was great fun and loved every minute of the day but we were most thankful for sleep that night! It was Zoey’s first thanksgiving and the thing she loved most were all the tables she could run around and hide under! She loved all the new foods but wasn’t too sure about all the people in her house! She clung to Lance and I like glue the whole night. 
Every year on thanksgiving as soon as the food is all eaten and starting to settle in our overly full tummies, we build Gingerbread Houses. It’s our yearly tradition to kick of the Christmas Season. The kids just absolutely love it! It makes us all happy to see them using their imaginations and using their temporarily on hold brains while on Thanksgiving Vacation, which lasted five days this year! Every year, all of us young adults have our own Secret Santa. It makes it so much easier for all of us younger people and tons of fun! We LOVE Thanksgiving, but we just can’t wait for Christmas to be here, and as of today, only ten more days to go!
