This morning we got our first official rainfall of the year... it was soooo nice. At 11pm Lance and I went running outside just to feel the cool rain falling... it was nice... and refreshing... and it smelled sooo good. Then this morning when we woke up at 7:30 it had begun to pour outside.. it was awesome... the only thing we were missing... the lightening and thunder...
we had a good day today, drove down to Fresno to pick up Xanders bed, which was way better than i thought it was going to be. It had stopped raining by the time we hit turlock and Fresno was nice and sunny. We loaded the bed, which fit perfectly in the bed of the truck, and went to meet up with my sister and her boyfriend for lunch. They also had a tarp waiting for us.. we were pretty sure we might hit more rain and we wanted to be prepared. So we all had lunch together and finally got back on the road at around 2pm, of course making multiple potty stops and a coffee break on the way home, lol. Xander fell asleep about and hour from home and slept until 6pm!!!! It was nice, lance and i were both really tired and need a bit of a break..plus xander really could use a nap. After Xander woke up we put the bed together, washed all the sheets and stuff and finally got it all done.. it was great.. Xander loves it.
and now...its 10:30 and we are totally wiped out... when it all comes down to it... we all just really hate driving!!!! but...we do LOVE the rain!
