Right after New Years we took a trip out to Monterey Bay Aquarium. It was a well needed get out of Newman kind of trip. There was less than a week left of Winter Vacation and then it was back to the daily grind of 6am wake up calls and homework battles, we NEEDED to get out. The weather was finally a little warmer and no rain in sight so we packed up the car and grabbed the kids (including Brandi) and hit the road. Even better, for Christmas Brandi made all of us an Angry Bird hat, this was our chance to show them off!!!
We live in the middle of nowhere, really. Nothing but cows and orchards for miles. The mornings are always beautiful though.

Our angry bird clan. We made lots of people talk and laugh and stare! It was pretty funny! Brandi made all of them by hand and they are amazing!! The best Christmas present ever!

On the way home, everyone fell asleep, it was just me and the road. It was quiet and peaceful after a very busy day. (Don’t worry, I woke up Lance to take this pic for me! He fell right back to sleep!)
