To San Diego and Back Again (And we survived!!!) part 1

It was a 12 hour drive down there, waaay longer than it should have been. But, for our first road trip by ourselves, I think it was a surprising success! We ended up stopping every few hours on the way down, which on the way home we found to be more than we needed, a lesson learned. We also got stuck in 3… THREE… again, 3, hours of traffic in Los Angels. It was horrible. Low on gas and happy children and close to dinner, it was a near disaster, again, a lesson learned. We eventually made it to our destination, Munro Residence (which we were so incredibly grateful for, it would have been an expensive weekend without them! Thanks again guys!) The kids got along great, like they have been friends for years!!! It was a great trip and we had tons of fun and adventures, LEGOLAND, a lighthouse and cliffside visit, and a birthday celebration. We were hoping to go back again to visit, but they are moving to NY, so maybe we have a cross country road trip in our future! Here is a look at our adventures of San Diego (or at least the first half!)

Only 100 miles to go!!!

After about three hours in the car… and still smiling!

Our first stop of our visit! Legoland was awesome! The kids absolutely loved it! Xander even ventured on to a few roller coasters. Zoey on the other hand, was very content just chillin’ out takin’ in the sights! Can’t wait to go back again someday!

This was everyone’s favorite part! Star Wars Lego world. They had some characters and some scenes from the movie made completely of LEGOs. Definitely a family favorite! Here are a few pics of the movie scenes made, I have too many to post them all!

LEGO buffalos!!!  LEGO giraffes in the background.

LEGOLAND was amazing. Seriously, if you should ever find your self in the San Diego area, go to LEGOLAND! You will looove it!

I guess I will stop there, so much more to write about! So until next time!
