Finally enjoying some nice weather with a morning walk.
Now that summer is upon us, we have been trying to keep outside as much as possible. Summer time is when we have a lot of the small town evens like the Apricot Festival, the Chili Cook Off and a few others. Its exciting to finally be able to get out and see people and do some out door activities with the whole family.
Tinkertoys will never get old! Neither will the tin they came in!
We were able to make it to the apricot festival this year. It was fairly hot and the kids were pretty cranky by the end of the mid afternoon, but we enjoyed as much of the festival as we could. Xanders favorite part was the super slide. He must have slid down it a million times (we are very thankful to be friends with those who own it..or it may have cost us a billion dollars!!) We had a hard time leaving the slide but Xander thought that a smoothie sounded delicious! Both of the little ones passed out on the way home, very thankful for that as well. 
As always, every summer we start out with kiddie pools. It is way easier than putting the big pool up in the beginning., the weather in the early summer is typically still a bit unpredictable. Zoey is still trying to get use to summer, she doesn’t like the water much and chooses to only get her feet wet, but hey what ever floats her boat makes us happy and cools her off just enough to keep her a little less cranky in the heat. That and popsicles!
