KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION!
Well, its official. Xander is now a first grader! He graduated on Thursday, May 27 2010. Its really amazing. We remember the first day of preschool when we had to fight with him for a week just to get him out the front door and into the car. When the first day of kindergarten arrived, it was a piece of cake for him. I stood at the playground gate and he walked right on in and waved and yelled “Bye Mom See you after school!”. I was almost in tears. Not even a hug did I get. I had to chased after him and to get a hug! It was amazing to see how much he has grow in just a short time, and even more so how much we have grown with him. School just ended and in just ten short weeks we will do it all over again. Except, hopefully this time I wont run after him to get my fix of Xander hugs for the day. It will also be the beginning of a full day, 8-2:30. A whole hour longer that kindergarten. What will Zoey and I do with ourselves during that whole extra hour! With all joking aside, we just could not be more proud of our growing boy. He is amazing and wonderful and has learned so much in just a few short years and even more that that, he has taught all of us so much more than we could have ever possibly imagined.
Now, on to FIRST GRADE!
We help out in the class room the morning of graduation to help get their gowns and hats on.
Her is Xander and his best friend waiting to line up and head out to see all the people waiting to see them!
<------ One minute he is a Kindergartener and the next he is a big first grader! ------>
Celebrating with his little sister!
Xander and his teacher, Mrs. Barkman.
Waiting to go back to class.
Later that day we invited everyone over to celebrate Xander’s graduation.
We even let him cut his own name out of his cake and eat it, too!
The very next morning Xander received another award!
He received the Kindergarten Top Math Award!
He has always been good at math but he just keeps on surprising us!
We are so proud of this boy! He has been amazing this whole year.
I just hope that First Grade will be just as fun for all of us and maybe he wont be so bored all the time!
