Happy Belated Easter from our Family to yours!
(Brandi, Xander, Great Grandpa, Me, Lance, and Zoey)
We had a great Easter this year. Ever since then, we have been crazy busy. It’s hard just to find the time to write a new blog or do anything else for that matter. We dyed eggs at our house this year. It was easier on the little ones, dye eggs then go to bed… the Easter Bunny won’t come unless you go to sleep! Works every time! It was a lot of fun. I remember dying Easter eggs with my grandfather when I was Xander’s age and it’s so amazing knowing my son is having that same opportunity. My grandfather is like the Easter Egg Dying Master. Really, he just loves it and gets so into it every year with all the kids, no matter how old they are! Zoey had the best time just playing in all the colors!
Vinegar, warm water and color tablets…..Rainbow?
Easter Morning
The Easter bunny is very smart and loves to bring the kids outside toys and other fun things,
like pains and shovels and books and puzzles and just a plash of candy!
She found that chocolate Easter bunny and opened it all by herself!
The outside Easter egg hunt!
Xander made out like a bandit!
Just trying to keep up with her big brother!
“Xander, lets compare and see how many I would like to steal!”
Poor little peep never saw him coming!
The candy thieves! All day, they were stealing candy from all over!

Later that afternoon, after everyone arrived and after dinner, we went outside to do some kite flying! Each kid got a brand new kite for Easter! It was such a wonderful day for kite flying, perfect weather, perfect wind!
The three bigger kids all have kites in their hands…
Can you see all three kites?
Grandpa, Xander and Brandi trying to get the kites HIGH up into the air!
Even Zoey was getting in on the action!
The Kite Brigade!
The Ladies of the group.
Xander finally wanted to fly his kite,
he was so afraid he was going to lose it that he didn’t even want to try and fly it!
See any UFO’s up there, Brandi?
After all the kite flying and the temperature started to dip down a bit, we headed back in side for some super yummy cake that Brandi and I made, or tried to make, the night before. It was super yummy and super COLORFUL!
After warming up for a bit we headed outside for a night time egg hunt! My grandma found the coolest light reflective eggs! They even came with their own tiny flash lights! It was lots of fun… and then the sprinklers turned on! It was just too funny to watch everyone make a run for the patio before soaking commenced!
Easter was amazing. It was so wonderful spending time with everyone.
We just wished that Lance’s family could have been here to celebrate with us.
We miss you guys.
We are now looking forward to our Massachusetts trip coming at the end of June.
We can’t wait, we’ve been waiting a long time to get out there again, it’s been more than a year!
Much too long….
Happy Easter Everyone… Happy Belated Easter…
