Both in the middle of their Pink Eye battles…can you tell? 
Both of these little angel faces have had a crazy past few weeks. The week before Easter vacation (march 27), Xander came down with a pretty bad cold. He passed out in the middle of a Saturday afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa and spent most of the weekend in a head fog and not feeling that great at all! Well, Monday rolled around and he was even worse. So I made an appointment with his pediatrician for that Tuesday. By this time Zoey is also starting to show some cold symptoms too. You know what they say… When it rain’s, It pour’s! So I took them both in. They BOTH had pink eye, Xander had it in both eyes, and they BOTH had an ear infection!!! Seriously?! I couldn’t believe it! Two weeks prior to this we had just gotten over a set of ear infections and there we were again. Chances were that they just weren’t on the meds long enough, so now they were put on antibiotics and eye drops. Xander missed three days of school that week. Though he managed to stick out the last day of the week and participate in the Easter egg hunt at school. My poor babies spent most of Easter vacation sick and at home. Now it is nearly two weeks later and Zoey just got over her pink eye and once again she has an ear infection (probably the same situation again, not enough time on the meds, now she is on a ten day antibiotic.). Life here in the Doane house has been nothing short of chaotic and it seems like just when things are looking up, it starts to rain again. Thankfully, they are pretty healthy now. The joys of parenthood and school aged children. They always bring home all the icky stuff!
