It has been a while since we have really written anything. Things a have been wild and crazy lately! So here it goes.
Lance has been working at the Kohl’s Distribution Center now since September and has since then made a permanent position with them. Though, instead of being on the morning crew where he started, he was transferred to night crew, 3-11:30pm. It was rough for a while, trying to get homework and baths and dinner done by myself, but we have since then created our own little routine to make things a bit easier.
Xander has been doing amazing in school. He has not had any issues at all, he is more of an angel child at school than he is at home! I would rather have it that way I think. He brought home a 2nd trimester report a few weeks ago and nothing but outstanding marks across the board. Even all the spelling test and workbook test that they have had, all come home with 100%! He is amazing and doing incredible! He always comes home with great stories about the things they did in school that day and about his friends and things they play at recess. I’m glad he is enjoying school. Couldn’t really ask for anything more. Lately, he has been really into writing. Ever since he learned to write his ABCs, he has been practically unstoppable (except when it comes to Homework!) He writes letters and notes and loves to make birthday cards. He even spells most of his words by himself! Oh and bubbles, the other thing he has been crazy over lately… thank goodness for all the GORGEOUS sunshine we had lately!
Zoey is doing great! She is quite the curious little girl, always getting into something and finding new little places to hid and run away too. Lately, she has been hiding under her crib with her little glow worm! Super cute. Her babbling has turned into almost there words like, bubble, all done, kitty, more, up, and a ton of others, she even blurts of her version of Xander at times. She is growing like a weed, finally growing into her 18month clothes, 12m were always too short and 18m were always too big! Not anymore! She has a dr. appt. coming, we will really see how much she has grown then! Oh and did I mention this girl LOVES food! Its true, she will pretty much eat anything you put in front of her especially those fruits and veggies! Its great to finally have a kid that will eat what everyone else is eating, my little man, not so much. Her personality has erupted into this little ball of giggles and smiles. She thinks everything is funny and loves to play tricks. Sometimes when she finds something she isn’t suppose to have, she runs away, lays down on the floor and pretends she is hiding, like we can’t see her! All we can do is laugh! Amazing!
We have had a few days of sunshine this past week. A definite cure for our Cabin Fever. It had been many weeks since we have had 70 degree weather of any kind. We have managed to spend at least half of each of the past five days outside. It was HEAVENLY! The kids were so happy to be outside. We played bubbles (their favorite!) baseball, chalk, we pretended to mow the half alive lawn, kicked a ball around, checked out the over grown weeds down the side of the house, even our kitty got in on the outdoor action. I think the best part of this whole week was Lance being home at 5:30. He is currently being trained as a truck dispatcher for the warehouse. Its only a temporary position, but its one more thing for him to learn and use later in life. He will be covering the night shift 5-1:30 until March 9, not too bad I think, but we will miss him at bed time. Lance was able to be outside with us most of the time. Being outside, all of us together is wonderful! Filled with lots of fun and some pretty great laughs.
Life has truly been amazing lately for us. We have waited a long time for all of our puzzle pieces to fit together the right way. The beginning of this year things finally started looking up. Lance was permanent at a great job with benefits, Xander is doing amazing in school and Zoey is working hard at being an adorable little toddler.
The only thing I would love… to figure out my Adobe photo program! LOL!
