Wow we realize it has been quite some time since we have updated.
So much has happened this month. First we took a trip to Massachusetts for a aweek, we left on the night of the 13 and returned on the 20th. It was a great surprise for Lances mom and sister, they didnt know we were planning to fly out for christmas! We planned the whole thing with Lances dad. We took an over night fligh so his dad could get us while he was "at work" lol. Xander slept the entire flight, which was really awesome and thats exactly what we had hoped would happen. So we land, find lances dad, get our luggage and head our for Amesbury. It was great seeing all the snow!!! It was just beautiful, it had a been a while for all of us since we had been in the snow!
So we get to his parents house, and we are as quiet as a mouse! We very carefully tiptoe up the stairs and wait... lances dad was calling for Korin to come out and see something.. and then we hear sherenas voice, lol.. she was suppose to be at school! We walk up the stairs and lances heads straight for his mom! She just couldnt believe it.. she just started crying and hugging lance! It was soooo wonderful!! Then Edna walks out of the kitchen and I am just standing there next to her, it took about 30 seconds for her to realize what was going on, lol! Then Edna called to sherena to come and see. We could hear sherena "whats going on.. who is it" (later, she told us she thought it was Ellen or someone else, she knew it couldnt be us because we had already planned to come out at a different time, lol) The minute she saw us she ran up to lance and gave him the biggerst hug and kept yelling Oh my gosh!!!! it was soooooo great!!!
Everything was wonderful, it was so great to see everyone and it had been way too long!
Later that day we had sherena call Katie and tell her that lance and kim had sent a package and katie had to be there to open it. Katie said sure, be there sooon and then called back a little later and said she couldnt make it. So we decided to take a trip out in the snow!! Well as we are getting our snow layers on, lol, we see katie walking up the hill!! Lance and and grab xander and scramble for the TV room, lol!! Katie came up stairs and opened the door and there we were!!! It was awesome!!! So we got to spend some time with katie before she had to go to work that day!
The first day was sooo great, it was all pretty surreal, we couldnt believe we were actually there.. and neither could they!
The rest of the trip was awesome. We got to help put up the christmas tree and decorate it, we helped korin put up the rest of her christmas decorations, we were able to go to the church christmas party, which was a ton of fun :D, we even got to build a snowman, which was a first for Xander and I and it was soooo much fun!
We had our own little christmas on Dec. 18th. It was wonderful, we wrapped all of our gifts for everyone and had a very delicious dinner and then exchanged gifts. It was great to be able to spend christmas with them, it couldnt have been more prefect!
Our time there flew by way too quickly, one morning we woke up and realized that there was only one day left. We packed up what we could find, we even had to buy a while other suitcase to get everything home. LOL.
We were incredibly sad to have to leave, and the visit was sooo short! So, the morning came and we had to leave, we packed the stuff up into the back of the van, said goodbye, and headed off for the airport.
We already knew that the airport was going to be interesting. There was suppose to be a snow storm coming in that morning.. and sure enough it came in right on time, but instead of light snow with a possible 2-4 inches, it had already dropped two inches in the first two hours! We boarded our plane and sat there for another 2 1/2 hours!!! We had to wait to be de-iced!! The snow was falling so fast!! Then we had to wait for the one run way that was open to be cleared so we could take off! It wasnt so great sitting on the plane for all that time, but we managed to make the best of it! So finally after all that time, we were in the air, on our way back home to sunny california. We were going to miss the snow.. but just a little bit... lol. We were going to miss everyone in Massachusetts, but we were a bit happy to be going home :) Xander slept for the first two hours and was wide a wake for the last four, lol. We ended up arriving two hours late, which we expected!
We are home now, and we miss everyone back in Mass more than anything, but we are soo happy we could take the time and visit!
