ud of him. It took more than a month for this job to come through and he has definitly stepped up to the challenge. Thats what a soon to be husband is all about :D I love you babe!
Yesterday we took a trip to the Merced Zoo, a city about an hour south of us. It was a little zoo, but it was super cute. We even got to feed the goats, and that was awesome! Xander absolutly loved it, he thought it was the coolest thing ever! Xander got to see sooo many things and the best part was that most of the animals were native to our area, so that was really great.
There was also black bear named Windfall, the most playful and active captive bear I have ever seen! He had these plastic balls that he was playing with in his little pond type thing. It was so incredibly adorable, i just wanted to take him home with me, lol. There were raccoons that were totally making out in the back of their enclosure, lol, while another that was visably upset by it, lol. There were sleeping cougars, they were of course absolutly beautiful! There were tons of water birds, like black swans, wood duck, mallards, whistling swan and a few others. There were owls and hawks. Then there were these really awesome little monkeys, Capuchin Monkeys. A hose was spraying from underneath a door in the enclosure, one monkey in specific was just totally enthrolled with it. He kept going after it, trying to catch it or something! He was just so awesome! We saw silver foxes and a coyote name Wiley, lol. There were so many other animals.. but enough of the typing.. here are some pictures!

We also got to ride on a train, it was part of this little carnival type place. I think its there year round, not sure. It was a cute little train, but man that thing got some serious speed! We all loved it, plus it was a great cool down, lol, it was so hot! My feet actually tanned that day, i was wearing flip flops, im lucky they didnt burn! We also went to a playground that was near by, thought the slides were way too hot for xander to go down, he had a great time just running around and playing on the swings, which of course made the rest of us kinda sick, lol!!!
So we finally begin our journey home... which was interesting of course. We were driving down highway 99 trying to get home...when out of nowhere some guy driving in front of us loses its ladder out of the back of its truck, thank goodness my mom being a great driver, slowed down and waited for it to fly off to the side of the road.. it was definitly one of those close calls that could have turned out really badly. So we finally made it to turlock, another local city. We stopped to get some ice cream and take a potty break and do a little shopping. Xander got some new summer time jammies and some new shoes. All in all, we all had a great time out, it was a little vacation and some well spent time away from the house. That night, Xander crashed so hard, he was such a little cutie!!!!
