Still Stuck in 2011…

Yup, stuck. So here we go. Waay back to October.

Our Halloween season kicks off with out yearly trip to the pumpkin patch corn maze. We make our way through the three mile corn maze, climb hay pyramids, take a hay ride and all that good stuff and then pick out the most perfect pumpkins ever.

Perfect Pumpkins, FOUND!

We were able to go to our church’s Truck or Treating this year, the weather was great and no one had to work!

Our Star Wars Storm Clone Trooper, my nerd <3 , and Miss Princess Minnie Mouse (missing her ears!) I was the high school punk rocker girl no one liked, lol!!!

Then, of course, we had tons of pumpkins to carve!! Wasn’t sure how the kids would do with it this year. They both are the neat freak kind of kids. But they really got into it this year (even though mom and dad had to finish the cleaning and carving!)

He ACTUALLY scooped out pumpkin guts. That’s a first.

The finished pumpkins! Mickey Mouse, a spider and a kitty cat!

For Halloween this year, we went all out on our house and created a haunted “walk way”. It was awesome and the whole neighborhood loved it!

Before Night. We built the coffin out of a huge box! Lots of spider webs and tombstones! And Halloween music! Oh and did I mention the fog machine?

Night time! It was great!

Well, that was our October in a nut shell, or pumpkin shell! October is our kick off month, the beginning of the long holiday stretch, our planning month. We planned three birthdays, thanksgiving, Christmas and new years that weekend. Let’s hope that 2012 bring us another great Halloween!
