What we have been up to… (August & September)

We’ve been busy since August. The non stop kind of busy. School started in August, Xander is a second grader now, we made several trips to Monterey Bay Aquarium, celebrated lots of wonderful birthdays, played and played and played, made things and colored and drove each other crazy and missed each other just as much and we adopted doggie number two. The past few months have been great. I’ve been doing my best to try and keep up with our digital diary, but time is never on my side. But there is always time for a picture…

Newman Fall Festival

Before and After. Very awesome.

Our newest family addition, Odie, a black lab mix, just over 8 months old now. A troubled soul, a trouble maker, and eater of all things his own and everyone else’s stuff, a lover, a protector, a baby boy to our Lady. He’s great. Now we have out Lady and our beast, our Odie.

We weren’t looking to adopt another dog, not for a while anyway. But, we went to the fall festival, and I fell in love, in love with this big brute of a puppy, six months old at the time and already towering over Lady. He loved us from the start. We always believe that dogs pick their humans and not the other way around. He was great with the kids, laid back, and oh so cute. A day later, we made a visit to the Westside Patterson Adoption Agency to meet with him again and this time brought our Little Lady to meet him as well. It was a great start, an unexpected unfriendly beginning. We should have known, Lady is stubborn and liked very much of being an only dog! With a little time and patience, they are now the best of friends, or more like mother and son. Either way, they complete our family!

Lots of playtime!

Tuesday morning Preschool Playgroup

We have a playgroup that we are apart of. It teachers early preschool for our little ones that will or already have missed the cut off date for preschool or kinder. Its such a great way to expose them to the ins and outs of school and the social aspect is amazing. The kids are thriving. Its been amazing to see them grown just over the past few months.

There is more to come…when I find more time ;)
