Another one bites the dust/Memory Lane

Yup, that’s right. Another one of our Xbox’s stopped working again. Our fourth one, two red rings of death and two infrared issues. The controllers just wouldn’t hook up. So we called Game Stop and the nearest one was in San Jose, a hundred miles away. They could ship it up here to Modesto or we could drive down to get it. Road trip to San Jose, can’t pass that up!!! So a few weeks ago, in January, we took a road trip to replace our Xbox. Crazy, true, but it would be nice to get out of the house as a family!

We drove down, replaced our Xbox and then decided to take our time and drive around a bit. I was born and raised in San Jose. I miss it down there and its great to take my family around the city that I spent most of my life in. The stories I share with them and the experiences, like ice cream at this amazing little hole in the wall place called Sweet Retreat and a park that I spent a lot of my childhood days at, Cahalan. It had been a long day and a long drive and soon a long drive home. So to the park we went.

The slide is always the most fun!

Just hangin’ around!

Cutie Face!

Getting the last of that energy out before we pile back into the car!

The kids passed out about half way home, wrapped up in their blankets and toasty warm. We couldn’t wait to get home, but the day was a wonderful trip down memory lane and a wonderful day making new memories.
