It was a cold and crisp Tuesday morning in December. The sun was just peeking out of a clouded horizon. It was early, I was still just barely awake. I had my tea and headed out to the far reaches of Newman. There were no cars on the road and it was still as quiet as could be. I knew the roads just wouldn’t be safe for much longer. Today was the day of all days. The day that most of us looked forward to as a teenager and we always hoped we would be the first and be the coolest. I was the first and probably not the coolest, but it was a great day none the less!
My cousin, Brandi, turned sixteen last year. I promised her that I would take her to get her driving permit as a birthday gift the year she turned sixteen. We put it off because of school and DMV was closed on all the days they were off, so we planned for Christmas vacation. What better a Christmas present than your permit!!! So here ya go….
WARNING!!!
The following teenager has her driving permit!
She passed on her first try and only missed seven I think…She’ll correct me if I’m wrong!
We are very proud of her. We know she will do great!
Congratulations Brandi! Hopefully by summer you will be an official licensed driver!
Be a good listener, check your mirrors and practice your stopping!
Whiplash isn’t as fun as it sounds!
