Picking Pumpkins!

I think crazy sums up this month quite well. We hardly had time to stop and breathe. We enjoyed every weekend to its very fullest and then some. Every year, around the time of our wedding anniversary, we plan our yearly trip to the pumpkin patch corn maze in Patterson. It’s not very big or overly exciting, but its small and family owned and the kids love it. We went there the day that we were married with a couple of our friends and since that day, it has been our new October tradition. Zoey was old enough this year to really enjoy it. They got to ride on a cow coaster and take a tractor ride, go through a hay maze and play on a pyramid, and of course the highlight of the trip, pumpkin picking! We have a standing rule about pumpkins and it’s been in our family since I was a kid: You can pick any pumpkin you like, but you have to be able to carry it, by your self! There are always the rule benders like “Mom you didn’t say how far I had to carry it” or  “What if me and Zoey carry it together?”. Of course, being a parent is making sure you kids are the happiest kids in the world, so we give in.  Even so, they picked pumpkins that were just right for them, like their little hands knew exactly which pumpkin was theirs.

3 years and counting! Happy Anniversary babe!

We love our pumpkin patch corn maze adventure every year. We came home with three lovely pumpkins, two tired kiddos, and three ready for bed adults! It was a great day. And it wasn’t raining, even better!
Here is some more October madness photos!

I remember that first time at the maze...so fun! I also remember that scary as heck storm chasing Joe and I home! Thank goodness it didn't hit while we were lost in the maze!

Yes, that day was incredibly fun. It has never rained on us at the pumpkin patch since that day. Kinda wierd, lol. It poured shortly after you and Joe left. It was a great day, even with the rain. :)
