Day 1 (03/28): We filled yogurt cups with soil and dropped in some seeds. We watered and set out in the sunlight and then waited to see what would happen, if anything (these seeds were years old!)
The finished product of Day 1: Carrots, Green Beans, Peas, Zinnia’s, Sunflowers, Marigolds, and Blue Buttons all ready to grown!.
Day 10 (04/07) LIFE! we have little seedlings. Out of the 22 cups filled, only four of them didn’t grow!
Day 18 (04/15) They have grown soo much! It is just amazing. Every morning or afternoon Xander just love to run out there to see how they are doing and how much bigger they have grown! He loves to water them and make sure they are getting the sunlight that they need! Our green beans and sunflowers are doing the best and our peas completely rotted away and the marigolds are having a hard time, but over all each plant is doing amazing! Xander has kept them alive pretty much all on his own. I think kids have the greenest thumbs of all.
“Gardening is about enjoying the smell of things growing in the soil, getting dirty without feeling guilty, and generally taking the time to soak up a little peace and serenity.” ~Lindley Karstens, noproblemgarden.com
