Really.. Xander finally gets to officially have a real "legal" daddy (and is now officially a Doane!)!! The adoption was finally completed the morning of April 1st, 2009 at 8:15am. We have been waiting nearly two years for this... and all it took was 15 minutes with a judge and three signatures! We are so happy to finally have it all over and done with. Xander has already been calling Lance dad or daddy at times. It was like he woke up one morning and it all just clicked.
The boys even got some really fun father son toys to play with from Nana in Massachusetts! Thanks Karin... you are amazing!
We even threw Lance an It's a Boy baby shower!! We couldn't resists! We had to make it all official!
We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family... especially all those who stood by us during this very trying and stressful time for our family. We love you all very much!
