So i actually got both the cakes done on time, early actually. I really amazed my self. From what everyone has been telling me, they look awesome. I did a Shrek cake and a Donkey cake, both were free hand, well Shrek was mostly, i like print out outlines then trace them with food coloring paste and then press them on the cakes, well for some reason that jsut did work this time. I think it was just way too hot and the icing would melt a bit too much before i got to put the picture on. The temp. topped off today around 93... way too hot for me, lol!! It made decorating quite difficult! I had six different colors of icing going, two two layer nine by thirteen cakes, a three year old that just wasnt having a good day, a very tired lance, and hot temps... like the day could have gone any better, lol. In the end they turned out great and everyone was happy. Tomorrow is the birthday party and i hope they like thier cakes :D. I will post some pics sometime this weekend.. maybe when i get a second to just breathe!!
